Christmas Carol Goes Wrong

The Cornley Amateur Dramatic Society have decided to stage A Christmas Carol, and they intend to do it properly: flying effects, a revolving set, a company of ghosts and a Scrooge determined to give the performance of his life. Very little survives contact with the first scene. Collapsing scenery, misfiring effects, forgotten lines and actors who refuse to leave the stage pile up until the production comes apart entirely.

Christmas Carol Goes Wrong is written by Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer and Henry Shields, the founders of Mischief, and directed by Matt DiCarlo. It comes from the team behind The Play That Goes Wrong, winner of the Olivier Award for Best New Comedy, and plays a limited festive season at Wyndham's Theatre. Casting is to be announced.

Original and funny. Such clever theatre!
We enjoy watching (and rewatching) the goes wrong show TV episodes. We treated ourselves to see it live in London. We had seats quite high up as everything is so expensive but we could see quite well and didn't miss any lines etc. it was original and funny. Great to see some familiar faces and other actors were brilliant too. Would recommend for any fans of goes wrong show.

Fun night out
Show was well paced, funny. Great set. Timing typical of Michief theatre.

Careless Christmas Carol
The show is very funny and most entertaining, but the seats in the venue provide very little leg room and are cramped. The venue was also uncomfortably hot during the first act, presumably to increase interval sales.

Very funny
I always love the “that goes wrong shows” and have seen a few. Always gets a lot of laughs out me. Wish they would bring some of the sequels to Broadway instead of keeping them just in the West End. I wouldn’t; recommend this for small kids though due to the language.

Fun & Festive Night Out!
Great fan of the “Goes Wrong” plays and this didn’t disappoint. Such a feel good play, with great acting as ever and loved the audience participation. Fab to be able to laugh out loud and have a giggle. Would definitely recommend.

A light hearted Holiday play
If you want to laugh for 2 hours then this is the play to go see. It will have you in stitches the whole time. It was the perfect antidote to a season that can be stressful and a little crazy.
