About Wyndham's Theatre
Designed by veteran theatre architect W. G. R. Sprague, Wyndham’s Theatre was built as a pair with the Noel Coward Theatre opposite. It opened in 1899 and holds just over 760 people spread over four levels: the stalls, royal circle, grand circle and balcony. The theatre has undergone redevelopment work in recent years to give clearer views to the stage from the auditorium. Located just off Leicester Square, the venue is right in the middle of London’s West End and offers excellent transport links, along with a whole host of entertainment opportunities.

If you think you know Oklahoma, think again This is no simple story of regular folk triumphing over outsiders and love conquering all! The production brings out all the complexities of competing sexual attractions and jealousy, making the ‘comic’ story of Ado Annie a shadow of the triangle between Laurie, Curly and Judd. And all done with such zest and energy. There is nothing coy or prim about this Oklahoma. Go see!!

An alternative version of a classic show This is a dark version of the show. It’s very still and was lacking the movement normally associated with the music. It often felt like watching a rehearsal. Ado Annie was fabulous and there were good performances from Will Parker and Ali Hakim but I didn’t leave feeling uplifted. Intact the final scene was disturbing and tragic.
